What do waffles, service dogs and free massages have in common? At GTRI, they were all part of this year’s Customer Service Appreciation Week celebration. The week of October 7-11 was National Customer Service Appreciation Week. GTRI made sure their employees felt appreciated by planning a fun week for the whole company, with events or activities each day.

Kick Off BreakfastThis is the fourth year GTRI has recognized its employees through the week-long celebration. This year included catered breakfasts and lunches, a potluck and a bake off. There were also non-food-focused activities, such as visits from an ergonomic consultant, massage therapists, and the Freedom Service Dogs of America. Organizers also planned a “Minute to Win It” team challenge game and a Broncos football pool.

Many of the events were sponsored by GTRI’s vendors, distributors and manufacturing partners, who want to show their appreciation to our staff. It’s not unheard for a vendor to fly in for the event, to spend time with the team and thank them personally. Big thanks to this year’s sponsors Cisco, Graybar, Panduit, Axiom, Veeam and Comstor!

One very important activity during the week was writing handwritten thank you cards to GTRI customers to extend our gratefulness to our customers. We take our customer service very seriously and want to be the best!

Minute To Win It GameGiving back to the community is also an important part of the celebration, as well as a GTRI mission. The prizes for the football pool were donated, enabling 100 percent of the money raised through the pool to go to the CU Boulder Disaster Recovery Fund to assist victims of the recent Colorado flooding.
