Denver, Colo. – December 22, 2008 – Global Technology Resources, Inc. (GTRI) announced today that it has received the ISO 9001:2008 Certification for quality management. The company undertook the ISO certification process in the summer of 2008 and completed the certification in just less than 5 months. The company successfully certified to both procurement and project delivery processes, and quality control. GTRI is the only Colorado IT Value Added Reseller/consulting firm with the certification, and is the first Colorado corporation certified to the new 2008 Standard.
ISO 9001:2008 is a globally-recognized set of standards by which a company’s Quality Management System is measured. It provides a mechanism to report on customer satisfaction, and creates a formal process to analyze issues affecting quality and performance. ISO 9001 certification is becoming a more common requirement from government agencies and large enterprises for critical projects and large procurements where vendor errors can have a large impact. To achieve ISO 9001 certification, companies must pass a series of internal audits and meet many rigorous standards to prove they have a method of measuring their quality management systems.
