The inaugural meeting of the GTRI Healthcare Advisory Committee will take place in Denver, Colorado on May 19, 2016.

The advisory committee is being spearheaded by Alex Brickner, managing director of GTRI’s Healthcare Division who joined GTRI last year with more than 20 years’ experience building and operating healthcare services and solutions.
“Bringing together senior executives from leading healthcare providers and payers with technologists will not only spark a dialogue about some of the top issues facing healthcare organizations, but will create an environment to develop technology solutions to help mitigate clinical, operational and financial challenges,” said Alex Brickner, managing director, GTRI Healthcare Division. “At GTRI, we recognize the use of technology to positively impact and improve the quality of care for patients. We created the Healthcare Advisory Committee to take a hard look at the issues facing organizations today and to collaborate to find answers.”
The first issue being addressed by the advisory committee is alarm fatigue. With clinicians exposed each day to tens of thousands of alarms and hospitals ranking alarm fatigue as a top patient safety issue, the GTRI Healthcare Advisory Committee is tackling this issue first.
