DevOps team also celebrates divisional win at re:Invent Hackathon 2016

(GTRI), an award-winning IT consulting services firm, today announced it has been named a member of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Sector Partner Program in the Government category. GTRI is one of a select group chosen for the program, which recognizes AWS Partner Network (APN) Partners with solutions and experience in supporting government, education, and non-profit customer missions around the world.

GTRI also was named the winner of the divisional round (and runner-up for the overall competition) of the AWS re:Invent Hackathon 2016 for its solution to the challenge presented by the Wildlife Conservation Society. The team provided a creative, meaningful approach to data accessibility and applicability by end-users with little to no technical experience. Tools used included a Natural Language Query interface, heat maps, a crisp GUI and efficient use of AWS Cloud components. GTRI competed with more than 50 teams and 300+ individual developers over 17 hours before presenting its solution to a panel of judges.
