Sean Mares brings more than two decades of experience in technical sales, sales-team management, and partner management to his work at GTRI, now Zivaro. Sean has illuminated success for GTRI’s enterprise and SLED sales teams while overseeing daily operations, and he has a proven track record in the development, implementation and execution of sales growth strategies that consistently exceed written goals.

 

Before joining the team at GTRI, Sean held the Senior Account Executive role at NetApp, where his brilliance propelled him through numerous positions in both the sales and technical areas of NetApp’s business. Sean also held the position of Senior Business Development Executive at Long View Systems and was a Systems Engineer at both Great-West Life, NetApp and Dell.

Sean is the founder of Dealshow, a media-based company offering online streaming video and software-based auctioning systems.

Sean’s work history, talents, and track record of excellence are the reason he has today been promoted to the position of Chief Strategy Officer of GTRI, now Zivaro.

As the Chief Strategy Officer, Sean will be responsible for developing, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives to accelerate performance through cohesive strategy planning and execution, and also knowledge management for impact and organizational effectiveness. Sean’s responsibilities will include formalizing strategic planning processes and leading the development of company-wide strategies, communicating plans across functions and business units. Additionally, Sean is now responsible for assessing strategic initiatives and M&A activity at all levels of the organization to determine if they are in-line with GTRI, now Zivaro’s business units and objectives.

We cannot think of an individual better suited to lead this transformational role, and we are looking forward to leveraging Sean’s brilliance as the business evolves.
