Steve Foster is transitioning from GTRI COO to the company’s advisory board.
Two years ago we knew we needed to do business differently in order to better serve our customers amidst the changing information technology landscape. At that time, we asked Steve Foster, who was serving on our advisory board, to join the GTRI executive team as Chief Operating Officer to help us transition to a Solution Integrator. He has been a tremendous asset in this role and has been instrumental in helping GTRI meet its goals.
As a result, Steve will be transitioning from his current role as COO and returning to the role of a strategic advisor on GTRI’s advisory board. In this capacity he will focus on client development and retention, operational excellence and solution development strategies.
Here’s what Steve had to say about the last two years and his new role, “I advised Greg and Glenn, GTRI’s founders, that if I do my job and build the right leadership team, I will not be needed for more than a couple of years. We have made tremendous strides with organizational structuring, building client-value solutions and operational capabilities around our Professional Services offerings. I am very proud of what we have accomplished the past two years. This is an experienced and dedicated culture of people with the right focus. On the plus side, in my new role I get to continue to be part of GTRI’s great progress.”
Steve’s new role will enable him to leverage his impressive networking abilities to help connect GTRI with new opportunities and the IT community at large. I know that everyone at GTRI is excited that he will continue to be part of the team.
