(GTRI), an award-winning IT consulting services firm, today announced CTO Scott Hogg’s participation at Cisco Live July 10 – 14, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hogg is participating in the technical session titled “An Immersive Journey into IPv6” with Cisco experts.
The eight-hour immersive experience will give attendees the fundamentals and knowledge necessary to deploy IPv6 in a secure and confident manner. The session will be held Sunday, July 10 at 8:00 a.m.

The session, TECRST-2166, will include basics of the IPv6 protocol, operational procedures, host OS configurations and much more. As part of the day, Hogg will give a guest lecture on IPv6 security that will cover Internet perimeter and access network security for IPv6 networks.
Scott Hogg is the Chief Technology Officer for GTRI and has been working with IPv6 technologies for 15 years. Hogg has written a book “IPv6 Security” and countless whitepapers on IPv6. He has given numerous presentations and demonstrations of IPv6 technologies. He is also the Chair Emeritus of the Rocky Mountain IPv6 Task Force and is a member of the IPv6 Center of Excellence (COE) for Infoblox.
Cisco Live is Cisco’s annual user conference where partners and customers learn new technologies, discuss business trends, share ideas and network.
