Denver, Colo. – September 22, 2007 – Raytheon and Global Technology Resourcs, Inc. (GTRI) have been approved by the sponsoring agency National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to have GTRI be the next Protégé’ under the federal Mentor-Protégé program. Under the program, sponsoring federal agencies help fund business-development activities in support of growing and assisting smaller or disadvantaged firms with business operation and technical subjects. Raytheon chose GTRI after a successful history of small-business awards supporting network technology at various Raytheon locations around the country. Raytheon will be assisting GTRI with various business aspects over the 3-year award including Information Assurance practices and contract capture and management.

This is an incredible opportunity for GTRI to enhance our federal business practices while accelerating our technical capabilities in serving the federal community,” commented GTRI Director of Technical Services, Jim Raine. “To be chosen for the program is an honor and we intend to give Raytheon our full attention. One of the toughest challenges of growing a federal business practice from a small-business perspective is learning the details of effective contract capture, compliance and operations, so this gives us a tremendous opportunity to leverage the experience of a true industry leader.
